Back in August 2013, Michael Cluskey and his wife Belinda sat in their back garden to discuss how they would deal with his redundancy from the previous shredding company he was at, serving as Sales Director. It was over a cup of tea in the sunshine that Michael suggested starting their own shredding company and with Belinda's full support, Go Shred was born
Some may remember Belinda was the face of Go Shred on our original website, but she wasn't involved in the day to day as she was still working for the NHS at the time. As business increased it became clear more staff were needed and Belinda came on board. Following her was Gavin, then Simon, Nikita, Luke, Glenn and our latest staff member, Julie

MANAGING DIRECTOR
Michael started out working behind the camera in Television, Film and the Music industry after graduating from the University of Huddersfield, but after 15 years of that moved on to the Shredding & Waste industry and has been in the thick of it for almost 20 years, with experience of working for one of the UK's largest shredding companies and then years of working for a small family shredding company at Director level.
In 2013 he decided to start Go Shred to bring the best of everything he learnt in security, customer service and also dedicate his work to help customers achieve 100% landfill avoidance.
He is a family man, and he loves sports - especially American Football - he also likes to ride and tinker with his vintage Lambrettas.
CUSTOMER SERVICE DIRECTOR
Belinda has worked in television, engineering, the NHS, tasting sweets in a sweet factory and selling antiques. In between that she is a Mum and a wife. Let's face it, she needed a rest, so she thought it would be easier to help her husband start a shredding company from scratch.
Bel will be the person who more than likely answers the telephone, does the vehicle routing, sends your paperwork or comes to collect your shredding. Bel loves to do customer visits so there's a good chance you will see her mucking in with the team. Away from work, she loves cooking, eating out and cups of tea with a nice chocolate biscuit whilst watching Films and TV series.
SERVICE TEAM LEADER
Gavin has over 20 years experience of working in the paper shredding industry in various roles.
Michael and Gavin first met up when they worked together at PHS in their shredding division, which is no longer in existence.
Gavin was part of the outstanding Dewsbury service team that won Depot of the Year on many occasions. We were thrilled to be able to bring him into the Go Shred family when we needed to expand further in mid-2018 and he has proved to be a huge asset to the company and our customers, with a strong focus on our Customer Service ethic.
Away from work, Gavin has a keen interest in restoring and riding vintage Lambretta scooters and is a very proud family man.
SERVICE OPERATIVE
Simon is from Scholes originally, and recently joined the Go Shred family after years of working in the construction industry supply market.
Joining Go Shred in 2019, Simon has previously been in customer facing roles for most of his working life and enjoys nothing more than helping out our clients with their secure shredding needs.
Away from work, Simon is a big fan of Leeds United, enjoys spending time with his partner, daughter and his dogs.
SERVICE OPERATIVE
Luke is a real family man, with three children and a loving wife, all in the West Yorkshire town of Wyke.
Luke likes nothing better than making sure our clients are kept secure and get the best service possible.
Away from work, Luke is a real petrolhead, enjoying working on his own car, as well as participating in stock car racing and is a big Leeds United fan as well as supporting the Batley Bulldogs in Rugby League
SERVICE OPERATIVE
Glenn has worked for many years in customer facing roles and his experience has proved invaluable for Go Shred since he started with us.
Glenn is customer focused, conscientious and hard working with his working career starting in football, he switched to the business world and hasn't looked back.
Away from work, Glenn is a real family man, a massive Huddersfield Town fan, and enjoys travelling up and down the country watching the Terriers.
OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Julie is our office administrator and works alongside Belinda & Nikita. Julie loves working in the Go Shred family company environment and is the latest addition as a member of the team.
When she isn't at Go Shred organising your Paper Shredding, Julie loves time with her family, her dog, really enjoys a good film or TV series, nights out and holidays in the sun.
